Aaron Twersky joined Jacob Laufer P.C. as an associate in 2009. Mr. Twersky’s practice focuses mainly on white-collar criminal defense litigation and investigations, and complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Twersky’s experience encompasses every aspect of preparing a case, beginning with pre-trial investigation and continuing through appeals. Mr. Twersky’s involvement includes managing discovery, preparing motions and briefs, working with experts to prepare reports, and preparing witnesses for trial.
Mr. Twersky began his legal career as an associate at the international law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. While there, Mr. Twersky primarily practiced complex commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense litigation and securities litigation. Mr. Twersky also practiced antitrust litigation and bankruptcy litigation.
While in law and graduate school, Mr. Twersky worked as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and as a Research Intern at the Hudson Institute, a think-tank in Washington, D.C. Prior to entering law and graduate school, Mr. Twersky was a Special Assistant for Congressman Anthony D. Weiner, in his Washington, D.C. and New York offices.
Mr. Twersky graduated from Touro College, summa cum laude and as class valedictorian, and Boston University School of Law and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences with a dual J.D./M.A. degree in Law & International Relations.
In his free time, Mr. Twersky enjoys running and exercising. Mr. Twersky lives with his wife in New York, NY.
